Semenyih Outreach
November 15th, 2009
Agape Community Centre, Semenyih
10.30am
We, the college aged group of Aspirers paid a visit to our outreach centre in Semenyih to minister and be a blessing to the people there. It was time to really do something as a group and with what we have to make an impact. We wanted to go out there and conquer the world and give something back to it… something that might make a difference.
But we were blessed in returned, by the warmth and friendliness that met us. We were the ones gaining the experience and stepping out into the frontier (some for the very first time). We were the ones who were enriched and re-charged by the experience.
So all in all. Thank you God for showing up, in the sanctuary and in our lives. Amen!

Facing the Giants – discussion
Recap:
The team saw revival when they implemented the new team philosophy:
Honour God in every aspect of your lives.
If we win, we praise God; if we lose, we praise God
Here are some discussion questions (that was supposed to be discussed during aspirers but because God was doing a work and moving through the service, we did not have time for it). These questions are slightly different from that at the 1317 blog.
Even though we know that nothing is impossible for God, it is sometimes hard to simply trust Him with our situation. Discuss some of the difficulties that people face when it comes to ‘laying it all down at His feet’ or ‘trusting Him to take over the wheel of our lives’ – especially when the odds are against us or when we don’t get what we want.- In the movie, Brooke Taylor (the wife of the coach) learnt to let go and let God. When she discovered that she yet again did not have a baby, she said while choking back tears, “I will still love you Lord”. What can we learn from her attitude?
- The minister (in the movie) told the coach that he needs to go prepare his field for the rain and then expect the rain (of revival) to come. Don’t wait till we see signs of God doing something first. We EXPECT and we PREPARE. How can we prepare OUR field for the rain?
Do reply at the comment section and share some thoughts and feelings – to bless others who are reading as well as be blessed by other’s comments and thoughts.
New Beginnings
We are attempting to revive the Campus Connexion group and blog.
… With a better vision for the college going students of Agape,
a stronger purpose of building foundations and bonds,
a deeper heartbeat to reach the lost on campuses for Jesus…
Kindly have patience with us….
